Football Games - Save, Positive and Respectful Fans

Parent, guardians and students;

We are excited to see the fall athletic season in full swing, with our teams experiencing an exhilarating season so far. The support from our fans at both home and away games has been outstanding. It was wonderful to see the stadium filled with energy, especially with our student section, ‘The Chop House,’ in full force. We hope to see this incredible enthusiasm continue throughout all our sports seasons!

To ensure a safe, positive and respectful atmosphere at our events, we ask all attendees to show good sportsmanship and respect for our opponents, staff, and fellow guests. Please remember that throwing objects, using inappropriate language, or engaging in any disrespectful behavior is not acceptable and may result in removal from the game and potential restrictions from future events. Additionally, students are expected to remain in designated areas.

Please take note of the following:

  • WHS students must show their school ID in order to enter the gate.
  • WHS students and students from the opposing team’s high school are not required to be accompanied by an adult.
    • All other school age children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • School age children required to be accompanied by an adult shall be supervised at all times.
  • Backpacks or bags are not permitted inside the stadium.
  • Baby powder, silly string, or any other substances that can be sprayed are not permitted.
  • Food or drinks are not permitted to be brought into the stadium. Concessions will be available for spectators to purchase during the game.
  • Balls (footballs, baseballs, etc.) will not be permitted inside the stadium. Ball playing is not allowed at games.
  • Spectators will not be permitted to re-enter the stadium once they leave.
  • Congregating around the snack stand is not permitted. If students are not purchasing snacks or using the restroom, they must remain seated in the stadium.
  • Any fan acting inappropriately will be asked to leave the game.
  • Ticket sales will end after halftime.
  • In accordance with Board Policy 7434, N.J.S.A. 26:3D-58, and N.J.A.C. 8:6-7.2, the Board prohibits smoking at all times anywhere in school buildings or on school grounds. Smoking means the burning of, inhaling from, exhaling the smoke from, or the possession of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe, or any other matter or substance which contains tobacco or any other matter that can be smoked, included the use of smokeless tobacco and snuff, or the inhaling or exhaling of smoke or vapor from an electronic smoking device.
Our hope is that students continue to come to extra-curricular games and activities to support their classmates in a positive way. Attendance at school sponsored events is a privilege and students must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct at all times. ALL STUDENTS must have their school issued ID with photo to enter the stadium.
