    The Family and Consumer Science department offers a dynamic range of courses designed to equip students with essential life skills and prepare them for future career paths. Through courses such as Food & Nutrition I&II, Singles Survival, Global Cuisine, and Child Development I&II, students delve into practical knowledge and hands-on experiences.
     In Food & Nutrition I&II, students explore the fundamentals of nutrition, culinary techniques, and meal planning, gaining valuable insights into healthy eating habits. The Global Cuisine course expands students' culinary horizons by exploring diverse cuisines from around the world, fostering cultural appreciation and culinary creativity.
     Singles Survival equips students with practical skills necessary for independent living, covering topics such as budgeting, time management, and household maintenance. Meanwhile, in Child Development I&II, students engage in the study of child growth, development, and care, with hands-on opportunities to work with our preschool program, providing invaluable real-world experience.
Throughout all units, emphasis is placed on consumer education and career opportunities in Family and Consumer Science and related fields, empowering students to make informed decisions and pursue fulfilling career paths. With access to our kitchen facilities and preschool program, students benefit from immersive learning experiences that prepare them for success in both personal and professional endeavors.
