A quick look at the deadlines and events that should be on senior families' radar right now.
Students and families are invited to Room D103 to learn more about college, trade and armed services pathways after graduation.
Interested students should sign up through the Counseling Office. Students receive a pass in homeroom and should have their teacher sign it.
The second senior trip payment is currently listed as $550 for quad occupancy.
October 30, 2026 is the final date for a senior portrait to be included in the yearbook.

College & Career Planning
WHS Counseling supports seniors exploring four-year colleges, community college, career and technical education, the trades, military opportunities and other postsecondary pathways.
6:00 PM in Room D103. Students and families can learn more about college, trade and armed services pathways and begin planning for the next step after WHS.
College Representative Visits
College admissions representatives will visit WHS throughout the fall. Interested students should sign up in the Counseling Office. Students receive a pass in homeroom on the morning of the visit and should have their teacher sign the pass before attending.

College Applications
Counseling resources currently include the college application process, senior planning materials, college visits, SAT information, dual-credit opportunities and Naviance.
Students should use Naviance and work with their school counselor as they complete applications and organize college-planning materials.
Other Pathways
College is not the only postsecondary option. WHS Counseling also maintains resources related to:

- Trade schools and apprenticeships

- Two-year and four-year college options
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Important for the Class of 2027: WHS Counseling notes that New Jersey requires students in the Class of 2027 to complete a financial aid application form as a prerequisite for graduation. Families should review the financial-aid information provided by Counseling and contact their student's counselor with questions.

Class of 2027 Scholarships
The scholarship section for the Class of 2027 is not yet updated.
New scholarship opportunities are expected to begin being added during the winter, generally around December and January.
When the new scholarship list is released, current opportunities and deadlines will be highlighted directly in Senior Spotlight.
Transcripts
Seniors who need transcript guidance for college applications, scholarships or other postsecondary planning should work with WHS Counseling.
Why there is no separate transcript button here: the standalone transcript page on the WHS website currently directs alumni and former students to an online records-release form. Senior Spotlight keeps current-student transcript questions with Counseling so students are not accidentally sent to the alumni process.
Senior Trip
The Class of 2027 Senior Trip is currently scheduled for March 14–19, 2027 to Disney / Universal.

Senior Portraits
Final deadline: October 30, 2026. This is the final date for a senior portrait to be submitted for inclusion in the yearbook.
Scheduling a Portrait
CADY is the WHS senior portrait photographer for the 2026–2027 school year.
The scheduled on-campus summer and September portrait dates have concluded. Seniors who still need a portrait should make arrangements as soon as possible so the final October 30 deadline is met.
CADY offers yearbook-only sessions as well as expanded portrait packages and studio options.
Yearbook Portrait Requirements
- Color, vertical head-and-shoulders studio portrait
- Formal yearbook background consistent with WHS specifications
- Black tuxedo, black bow tie and white dress shirt or the approved black drape
- No hats, props, extreme close-ups or alternate formal backgrounds
- Digital files should be high resolution — 300 dpi or higher
- Submit digital portraits in JPG format
Seniors using another photographer should make sure the photographer can meet WHS yearbook specifications and submit the portrait by the deadline.

Senior Parking
Eligibility & Application
- Senior parking eligibility begins at 85 earned credits.
- Students must meet WHS attendance requirements.
- Students must remain academically eligible.
- Conduct and outstanding obligations may affect eligibility.
- A 2026–2027 Transportation Waiver is required.
- Students must review the senior parking contract.
- A senior parking permit form must be completed.
- Students must provide a New Jersey driver's license, vehicle registration and active insurance.
- The parking fee is $40.
Driving Expectations
- Campus speed limit: 15 mph
- Stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.
- Display the assigned parking tag.
- Park only in the assigned student space.
- Students may not access vehicles or parking lots during the school day without administrative authorization.
- Student parking at Owens Park during school hours is prohibited.

Prom, Graduation & Senior Milestones

Project Graduation
WHS Project Graduation is a parent-led organization that provides seniors with a supervised, substance-free celebration.
